Dental Implant

What is the implant?
The implant is a titanium screw used to treat missing teeth and placed inside the jawbone. A dental prosthesis is placed on these screws. The advantage of implant treatment to other treatments is that neighboring teeth are not damaged. In other words, the adjacent teeth do not need to be cut. The implant acts as a follicleand you can comfortably eat, talk and laugh like a natural tooth.

Who can receive implant treatment?
Implant treatment is applied to individuals over the age of 18 who have completed jaw and face development. Before the treatment, whether the jaw structure is suitable for the implant is determined by X-rays. Diabetic patients should have the disease in order before treatment. Drugs are deducted before treatment in those using blood thinners. Those with osteoporosis can receive implant treatment after receiving appropriate treatment.

How is implant treatment performed?
Implant treatment is performed by giving a mild sedation to the patient. Detailed examination and X-ray are required before the procedure. Jaw bones and remaining teeth are measured. There are two options for the placement of dental implants. In the single-stage procedure, after the implant is placed, a temporary cap is attached. In the two-stage procedure, after the dental implant is inserted, it is covered with the gum and allowed to heal. Prosthetic heads are then attached. In both cases, a temporary bridge is placed and a healing process is expected for 3 months for the lower jaw and 6 months for the upper jaw. Sometimes, newly made teeth can be attached to dental implants immediately. With dental implant, the patient can laugh and eat safely.
Zirconium implants are new generation implants made to increase the resistance of implants made of titanium. It is especially used to increase durability in narrow jawbone. It is no different than titanium, except for durability.
Zirconium is also used in dental veneers. Zirconium is close to natural tooth whiteness and reflects light. Therefore, it is also useful in terms of aesthetics as well as durability. It does not wear and does not leave a metal taste in the mouth. No discoloration occurs over time. It does not harm the body.
